Backgrounds and Responsibilities

Tradespeople
At Southern Cross we employ numerous trades allowing for the vast market across the Swedish construction industry. We are able to integrate our qualified tradesmen into work sites to complete the job efficiently and accurately. Our tradesperson responsibilities include working as part of a team or individually to achieve the project schedule, working closely with supervisors while utilising their knowledge to achieve the projects goals. Plan ahead, formulate solutions to obstacles and undertake all works in a safe and thoughtful manner. Backgrounds consist of a construction-related apprenticeship and/or a vast experience in the construction industry.

Site Supervisors / Engineers
At Southern Cross we employ qualified engineers and site supervisors. Staff are placed with our client companies to work within their teams. Responsibilities include project scheduling, ensuring works are to the client’s specifications & scope of works, coordinate with sub/side contractors and other project engineers and management. Problem solving, technical queries and issuing site instructions. Encouraging safe working practices.
Backgrounds consists of management or construction-related degree and experience in the construction industry.

Here at Southern Cross we strive to provide a safe work environment for all employees. We work with our clients to promote and update all workers on the latest health & safety information. Depending on your trade we make sure all employees have the appropriate certificates, which allow you to work with an understanding of local risks.

Employees Health

Southern Cross aims to support its employees by providing organised fitness classes at certain times of the year to allow for each employees needs both physically and mentally. Due to the physical strain some jobs entail, we aim to provide an educational class to teach employees about posture and lifting techniques allowing for the employee to take charge of their physical state. By hiring professionals to cater directly to our employees needs, the fitness instructor is able to focus on pre-existing and potential health issues.
